Privacy & Disclosure
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This page explains what information may be collected when you visit Platform Notes by Emmanuel, where that information comes from, and what I use it for.
Hosting
Platform Notes is hosted on Blogger, which is a Google service.
That means Google and Blogger may process some of the technical information needed to serve and protect the site. This can include things such as your IP address, browser and device information, cookies and request logs.
I don't control how Blogger processes that underlying platform data. Google's own Privacy Policy explains how Google handles information collected through its services.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4 to get a basic idea of how people are finding and using the blog.
I'm mainly interested in things such as how many people read an article, which posts are useful, where readers generally come from, and whether people actually make it to the bottom of something I've spent far too long writing.
Google Analytics may collect or derive information such as page views, approximate location, browser and device information, referral source, scrolling and outbound-link activity, together with cookies or other identifiers used by Google.
I use that information to understand readership and improve the site. I'm not using Analytics to try to identify individual readers.
You can restrict cookies through your browser. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and its wider data practices are explained in the Google Privacy Policy.
Where required, Blogger or Google may also show cookie or consent controls.
Comments
Comments are currently limited to people using Google Accounts and are moderated.
If you leave a comment, the name, profile information and anything else you choose to include in the comment may be visible alongside it.
Please don't put confidential, medical, financial or other sensitive personal information in a comment.
Advertising
Platform Notes doesn't currently use Google AdSense.
If I decide to introduce advertising later, I'll update this page before enabling it to explain any additional cookies, identifiers, advertising partners or consent choices involved.
External links
I regularly link to things such as documentation, source material, tools and professional profiles.
Once you leave Platform Notes, those websites have their own privacy practices. I don't control how third-party sites collect or use information.
AI and the articles
The articles on Platform Notes are based on my own professional experience and projects.
I use AI tools as part of my engineering work and may also use them while researching, organising or editing an article. I might use them to explore an approach, review code, prepare a demonstration, create an image or help me work through a draft.
I still review what gets published and take responsibility for the final article.
AmelaStock and professional context
When I write about AmelaStock, ERPNext or related work, I'm writing from my own experience.
The articles are personal professional reflections rather than official product documentation or professional advice.
Contact
If you have a privacy question, notice something that needs correcting, or want to get in touch about the site, you can reach me through my Blogger profile or LinkedIn.
